Group bookings are limited to four people
Because we want our customers to enjoy precious time together with loved ones, group bookings are limited to a maximum group-size of 4 people. We appreciate your understanding.

Smoking is prohibited across the entire building
We deeply apologize to our customers that smoke, however smoking across the entire facility, including all guest rooms, the lobby, and the entrance outside the lobby, is strictly prohibited.

There are no clocks or televisions in all guest rooms
There are no clocks or televisions in any of the guest rooms. Forget the stresses of everyday life, unwind.

All included meals are to be eaten at the restaurant
For you to truly be able to relax in your rooms, all hotel-provided morning and evening meals are prepared and served in the restaurant. There are is no room delivery service for meals.

Our private baths
At our hotel there are no public bathing rooms like you might find at a regular ryokan, instead, we have three private luxury bathing rooms. There is no reservation required for the baths, so please feel free to use them whenever you please.

Yasushi Hirobe was born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1967. He studied environmental design at Tsukuba University of Art and Design, and graduated in 1990. From 1991 to 1994, he studied under Yoshihiro Masuko, and in 1994 he founded his own architectural design studio, where he still works today. Now, 25 years later, he has designed over 100 works, including houses, shops, and even luxury boats. In 2002, he won the 18th Annual Yoshioka Architectural Design Award for his Gyuku Art Gallery design. In 2016 he won the Architectural Institute of Japan 'Best Creation' award, which was presented to him for his design for Chikurin-ji Temple's crypt (Kochi prefecture).
Some of his other architectural works include the 'Memorial building to a certain physician' (Kagoshima prefecture), the Hinemosu-notari cafe (Asagaya, Tokyo), the Yakushima Messenger store (Kagoshima), the Lee veil Bosque Patisserie (Ishikawa), the Kamakurayama Community Centre (Kanagawa) and the Sekison teahouse (Kanagawa).
His written works include 'Building a Library' (Shinchosha Publishing), 'Horibe Yasushi: A Collection of Works' (Heibonsha Publishing), 'Horibe Yasushi: Think About Architecture with Feeling' (TOTO Publishing), and 'A Small Pentagon House' (Gakugei Publishing House).
